Moonlight Magic

Potion Passport

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Moonlight Magic app ("Moonlight Magic," "the App," "we," "us") handles information. Moonlight Magic is a game made for young children, and it is built around collecting as little as possible.

Short version: Moonlight Magic has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server. There is nothing to type in besides an optional grown-up gate answer. Camera use for the Magic Mirror filters stays entirely on the device. The one exception is purchase processing, described in Section 6.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Moonlight Magic does not ask for, collect, or transmit:

We do not use general-purpose analytics or advertising SDKs. We do not sell data, because we do not collect data to sell.

2. Progress Stored On Your Device

Moonlight Magic remembers a child's progress — which Moonlings have been met, which levels are complete, and similar play state — entirely in the App's own private storage on the device. It is never uploaded to us and never leaves the device except in your own iPhone or iCloud backup, if you have backup enabled; those backups are governed by Apple's terms, not ours. Deleting the App deletes everything it stored.

3. Camera — Magic Mirror

The Magic Mirror feature requests camera access so a child can try on a filter — a silly face, a pair of animal ears, and similar effects. This uses Apple's on-device Vision framework. No camera frame is ever sent to us or to any third party, and there is no server involved in showing a filter.

If camera access is declined, the rest of the App still works normally — Magic Mirror simply won't be available. If a photo is deliberately saved from Magic Mirror, it is written to the device's own photo library like any other photo, under Apple's normal photo permissions, and stays there under the same protection as any other picture on the device.

4. The Grown-Up Gate

Apple requires a "grown-up gate" in front of any purchase screen in an app aimed at children. Moonlight Magic's gate is a simple typed-number question (for example, a small addition problem) answered on screen. The answer is checked on the device only — it is never transmitted, stored, or logged anywhere, by us or by anyone else.

5. Children's Privacy

Moonlight Magic is made for children, and it is built to comply with COPPA and Apple's kids-category requirements by collecting nothing personal from anyone, adult or child. There is no registration, no profile, no way to enter a name, and no way for the App to identify who is playing.

Because no personal information is collected from any user, there is nothing for a parent to review, correct, or ask us to delete — the App simply never had it. A parent with questions can reach us at the contact address in Section 8.

6. Third-Party Services — Purchase Processing

Moonlight Magic contains one third-party service: Superwall, used only to run the optional "Unlock Everything" purchase screen and to remember whether it has been bought. Superwall is shown only after the grown-up gate has been passed.

Superwall receives device and app metadata (device model, OS and app version, locale, timezone, and an anonymous per-device identifier), purchase and subscription status, and a coarse location derived from your IP address at the moment of each request. It never receives a child's name, a photo, or anything else about how the App is being played — Moonlight Magic never has that information to share, and never gives Superwall a name or email address because the App never asks for one. Superwall's own privacy policy is at superwall.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Your payment itself — card number, Apple ID, billing details — is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; neither we nor Superwall ever see it.

7. Data Security

We do not operate a server, so there is no server of ours holding any personal information about you or your child. Information stored on the device is protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing and by your device passcode and encryption.

8. Contact

Questions about this Privacy Policy — including from a parent or guardian — can be directed to the developer through the App's App Store listing page, or by email at: moonlightmagic-support@skillquestapps.com

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, noted in the App.
