Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the CuePro app ("CuePro," "the App," "we," "us") handles information. CuePro is a training and shot-planning aid for pool and billiards.

Short version: CuePro does not collect your name, email, or other identifying information, and there are no user accounts. CuePro's subscription, camera, and location features are described in detail below.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

CuePro does not ask for, collect, or transmit:

• Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact details
• Account credentials (there are no accounts)
• Contacts, calendars, or health data
• Advertising identifiers or ad-targeting data
• Any persistent record of where you are or where you have been

CuePro's optional "Rooms" feature uses your device location only at the moment you ask it to search for nearby pool rooms — see Section 6.

We do not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not sell or share your data with third parties. CuePro's subscription relies on a subscription-infrastructure provider, Superwall — see Section 3 for what that involves.

2. Information Stored On Your Device

Some information is stored locally on your device only and is never sent to us or anyone else:

• Ball layouts and shot analyses you create exist only while you use the App and are not saved off-device.
• App settings and preferences (such as game mode, table size, cue-tip setting, and your acceptance of the Terms of Use).

You can remove locally stored settings by deleting the App.

3. Subscription and Purchases

CuePro is available through an auto-renewing subscription, offered on a monthly or annual basis. New subscribers may be offered an introductory price for an initial period, after which the subscription renews at its regular price until you cancel. All purchases and renewals are processed by Apple through your App Store account — we do not receive or store your payment information, card details, or Apple ID. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions.

CuePro's subscription is managed with the help of Superwall, a subscription-infrastructure provider. Superwall assigns your device a random, anonymous identifier (not linked to your name, email, or any other personal information) to track your subscription status and decide which subscription offer to present. Superwall also receives a small set of gameplay preferences (your selected table size, cue-tip setting, and whether an optional gameplay mode is on) to personalize what it shows. Superwall's handling of this data is governed by Superwall's own privacy policy.

4. Camera and Photos

CuePro's table-scanning feature lets you photograph your pool table with the camera, or choose an existing photo from your photo library, so the App can detect the ball layout for you.

• All image processing happens on your device. Ball detection runs entirely on-device; photos are never uploaded to us or any third party.
• Photos are not stored by the App unless you turn on the setting described below. The image is otherwise used only while you complete a scan and is discarded when the scan finishes or is cancelled.
• The App does not write to your photo library unless you ask it to. There is an optional setting, Settings → Scan Diagnostics → Save Scan Photos, which is off by default. Turning it on saves a copy of each photo you capture while scanning into your own photo library, so a scan that misreads the table can be reported with the exact image. Those copies stay on your device and in your library; they are never sent anywhere.
• Access is only requested when you use the feature. Camera and photo-library permissions are requested the first time you start a scan, and you can decline or revoke them at any time in iOS Settings without affecting the rest of the App.

5. Referee (Slow-Motion Review)

CuePro's optional Referee tool uses your camera to record video so you can review a disputed shot frame by frame. Recording is video-only (no audio) and is processed entirely on your device. A recording is saved to your Photos library only if you tap Save; otherwise it is discarded when you leave the tool. Nothing recorded with Referee is ever uploaded to us or any third party. Camera permission is requested only when you open Referee.

6. Location — Finding Rooms Near You

CuePro's optional "Rooms" feature helps you find pool halls and bars with tables near you.

• Your location is read only when you tap "Use My Location." There is no background location use, no location tracking, and no location history. If you never open Rooms, or only ever search by typing a city, CuePro never requests your location at all.
• You can also search by typing a city, ZIP code, or address. That text is sent to Apple's service to look up where it is; nothing about it is stored by CuePro.
• The search is performed by Apple's Maps service. To return nearby results, CuePro sends your approximate location (or the place you typed) and the search terms ("pool hall," "billiards") to Apple's MapKit service, the same way the Maps app does. Apple's handling of that request is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. CuePro does not send your location to us or to any other third party.
• We do not store your location. CuePro keeps a short-lived copy of the most recent list of rooms on your device only, so reopening the screen isn't slow; that list is discarded after a few days and contains business listings, not your location.
• Location permission is requested only when you first use Rooms, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in iOS Settings without affecting the rest of the App.

7. Children's Privacy

CuePro does not knowingly collect any personal information from anyone, including children. Because the App collects no personal data, it is suitable for a general audience.

8. Data Security

Because CuePro does not collect or transmit personal information, there is no personal data for us to secure on a server. Information stored on your device is protected by iOS's standard app sandboxing.

9. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal information, there is no personal data to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You control all on-device data by managing or deleting the App.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be reflected here and, where appropriate, noted in the App.
