By downloading or using the W2G Handpay app ("W2G Handpay," "the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
W2G Handpay is a record-keeping aid. It helps you keep a contemporaneous diary of gambling sessions, store copies of Form W-2G and cash-out tickets, and see an estimate of your federal tax position based on the records you enter.
W2G Handpay does not enable, facilitate, or process gambling of any kind. It accepts no wagers, connects to no gaming operator, and has no relationship with any casino. You must be of legal age to gamble in your jurisdiction to make meaningful use of it.
W2G Handpay is not a tax professional and does not provide tax advice. Nothing it displays or exports constitutes tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, and no accountant-client or similar relationship is created by using it. Always confirm your position with a qualified tax professional before filing.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of your tax return, and for the records you rely on to support it.
You should understand the following limits before relying on any figure the App produces:
W2G Handpay can read figures from photographs of W-2G forms, cash-out vouchers, and credit meters using on-device text recognition. Text recognition is imperfect. Print quality, lighting, carbon copies, glare, and unfamiliar form layouts can all cause a figure to be misread or missed.
For this reason every scan opens a review screen before anything is saved, and you are responsible for checking each value against the paper in your hand. Do not rely on a scanned figure you have not verified.
W2G Handpay stores your records on your device only. There is no account, no server, and no backup service operated by us. Records may be included in your Apple device or iCloud backups if you have those enabled, but we do not provide, control, or guarantee any backup.
If you lose, reset, or replace your device without a backup, or delete the App, your records are gone and cannot be recovered by us. Export your diary regularly if it matters to you.
Subject to these Terms, you are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law.
The App, its design, and its content are owned by SkillQuestApps and are protected by intellectual property law. The records you create belong to you.
"W-2G," IRS form names, and any casino or property names that appear in your records are the property of their respective owners. W2G Handpay is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the Internal Revenue Service or any gaming operator.
You agree not to use the App to misrepresent your tax position, to create false or fraudulent records, or for any unlawful purpose. W2G Handpay is a tool for keeping an honest record; using it to construct a dishonest one is a misuse of it and is your responsibility alone.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that its calculations will match those of your tax preparer or the IRS, or that its text recognition will read any given document correctly.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SkillQuestApps shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, records, profits, or revenue, arising out of or relating to your use of the App.
This expressly includes any tax liability, penalty, interest, assessment, audit cost, or professional fee arising from reliance on figures produced by the App or from records kept in it. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.
W2G Handpay is a ledger, never an optimizer. It does not predict outcomes, identify favourable machines or games, or suggest what or when to play, and it never will. Gambling carries a negative expected return over time, and nothing in the App should be read as implying otherwise.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest version. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
